Diamond head volcano

I’m going to keep this talking to a minimum, and the photos to a maximum for Sara’s benefit, so that she can see that I actually am dragging her off to paradise.

Basic story: we flew in on a plane as most people do. Jose got bumped to first class, and let me take it on the first leg. Wow, first class is way better then low class.  Although, I have to say that even though my window seat in low class just looked at a blank wall,  I didn’t mind sitting in low class on the second leg, because I was sitting next to this super dumb hot chick whom took five hours to do her math homework (she should not have taken tutoring from me, I am horrible at math.) The flight was great, Jose kept sneaking me food and beverage from first class, the only thing that would have made it better was an mp3player, which I could have  apparently purchased from the Best Buy Express vending machine in LA Airport (WTF?)

When we arrived in Hawaii, we caught a shuttle bus into Waikiki, which did a whole bunch of looping through Honolulu, which was great, because I got to see all sorts of the city. We’re staying in a cute little hotel called The Cabana’s , The hotel is Gay friendly, hence this was Jose’s first choice, it’s right near Queens beach.

Tiny things!

I have to just say, the people of Hawaii have got to be some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, They are just so nice!

Although when we went out for Korean Barbque, these were the least friendly people on the island. There were little birds begging for food, so I gave them what they wanted. What can I say, I’m a sucker for all things tiny.

When we got to the beach, Jose was putting sunscreen on my back, and someone came by with a giant news camera. Great! On the gay side of town, there goes my Career in politics. When I was swimming out in the water, a giant sea turtle came swimming up to me, and just sort of hung out with me for a while. I tried asking how old it was, but it couldn’t hear me underwater.

Later, we went to the Waikiki Farmers Market where they had real local Bananas. Hmmm surprise surprise, they are much better local. The pineapple is amazing, plus you can get things like Star Apples, Logans, and Custard apples, yummy! I had an apple banana, interesting, are all Island fruits named after apples?

We finished out our evening having Mai Tai’s  watching the sunset from an open wall beach front bar. Did you know the sun triples in size when it hits the water? Amazing!

We had dinner at a Japanese Ramen place, where they served Japans first microbrewed beer… I have to say, it was refreshingly Japanese.

Cool, you should go snorkel or scube on a reef before you leave.
